Watch in toilette

Ask a Plumber

My husband’s watch fell( family heirloom) into the toilette & he unknowingly flushed it. I wonder if you could see it in the sewer pipes with the camera & how much would it cost to retrieve it

The watch may still be in your plumbing. It depends on how heavy the watch is and what grade is on the drainage pipe. The more grade and the lighter the watch, the less likely it is that the watch is there.

Most plumbing contractors and companies have camera equipment that can be used to search for the watch. The cost of this will depend on the market, but will be in the ballpark of $300-$400.
